Background

The programme commenced in 1989 with the aim to provide academic preparation and professional training for Secondary School English teachers. The programme integrates the English language skills and English Literature with the professional components, which stresses on knowledge in education and classroom teaching practices.

The programme is accredited by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA/SWA11277) and fulfills the the Education programme standards

Career Prospects

Graduates completing this programme are eligible to apply for appointment as Education Service Officer (DG41) via SPP (spp.gov.my). Career prospects include teacher, journalist, editor, tutor, creator, lecturer, academician.
