Master of Education (Curriculum and Development)

This programme will produce educators who are dynamic and reflective who are able to enhance practice and knowledge through teaching, research, consultation, publication and use this knowledge to solve problems related to curriculum development

Entry requirements for International Candidates following courses and/or writing their Thesis/Dissertation in English::

  • A score of 5.5 for IELTS (Academic)
  • A score of 550 paper-based total (PBT) or a score of 80 for internet-based total (IBT) or 213 for computer-based total (CBT) for TOEFL
  • A Bachelor of Education degree with a CGPA of at least 3.00 or an equivalent degreeOR
  • A Bachelor’s degree with a CGPA of at least 3.00AND
    • Post graduate Diploma in Education with a CGPA of 3.00;OR
    • A teaching qualification recognised by the University; AND
    • Teaching experience with an institution recognised by Senate; OR
    • A professional qualification from a recognised professional body ; OR
    • A qualification approved by the Senate from time to time; OR
Course Structure


The program covers Forty Five (45) credit hours which includes Nine (9) credit hours for core courses, Six (6) credit hours for elective courses and Thirty (30) credit hours for the dissertation
